In which I nearly have a panic attack over adulthood

Guys.  Today is the first day of September.

It's September.

What happened to August????  Where did it even go??

I feel like I blinked and summer just blew away.  Does anyone else feel like that?

Ugh that summer went by fast.  Now it's almost fall and I CAN'T TAKE THIS.

Anyway.  I shouldn't even be blogging right now.....I have More Important Things that I should be doing, but I don't feel like doing them right now.  #procrastinationftw

So this weekend I will be taking my piano teacher training course and I'M QUITE NERVOUS, MY DEAR POTATOES.

I will be the youngest one there and will have to pretend like I know what I'm doing and be an ADULT.  With strangers.  Who DO know what they're doing.

I've been giving myself pep talks like "YOU CAN DO THIS" and "YOU ARE SUPERIOR TO THESE PUNY MORTALS" and "GO IN THERE AND RULE THEM LIKE THEY WERE MEANT TO BE RULED" and then I have to tell my Loki side to quiet down because my Loki side is not really helping matters.

No, no you don't, Loki side.  Just concentrate on surviving this and if you could possibly Survive Like A Boss then I won't complain but please.  No Evil Overlord Takeover.

So I usually end up turning to my Enjolras side instead because Loki side is always being irrational.

Much better.

I don't like adulting.  It's so much work!  I'd much rather just curl up in my bed all day and eat cake and watch Odd Squad.  Because admit it.  Odd Squad is the best kid's show ever.  I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

If I was an animal, I'd be a cat.  Because cats are always falling asleep everywhere and being lazy and having mood shifts for no reason and they hiss at things.

Yes, I hiss at things too.  It's how I deal with Life Problems.

Well, there was my ranty post about life and adulthood for today.

Peace out, minions!

How do you deal with adulthood?  Do you have a Loki side, too?  Do you watch Odd Squad?  (It's okay, I won't tell anyone)

I.....can't be an adult can't be a kid, just graduated last May, and basically have all and no desire to go out and participate in the world I've never been allowed out in.

    Nope. No adulting.

....but sitting here doing nothing isn't exactly good either, is it precious. No, not very good at all.

...no. i don't have a Loki side. A Smeagol/Gollum side however...... *innocent smile* Nope, I wouldn't have one of those at ALL.

I dont' watch Odd Squad, but I do watch Doctor who and that totally counts as a children's show - especially the Classic Series.

*buries you in potatoes because you're not explaining that*

    ...and you're Catholic?

    1. *watches you in great concern*

Well after my first weekend being an adult in an adult world I'M ACTUALLY RATHER EXCITED TO GO OUT IN THE WORLD. It's not too bad. I met some lovely people and now I can't wait to move out and Adult and stuff.

But at the same time I'm like NOPE. *scurries inside to hide under blanket with Doritos*

So. I don't know. I am as indecisive as a squirrel crossing the road.

HAHA. I understand that though. My preciousss.

I think we can just agree with each other that we're indecisive potatoes who wish that Adulting came with a manual.

WHAT NO DOCTOR WHO IS A TOTALLY MATURE SHOW FOR MATURE PEOPLE. *eye twitches*

*swims up from sea of potatoes to shout POTATOESSSSS before submerging again*

      YES I AM ARE YOU.

    *laughing* *sighs* Yeah.....

    MANUAL. NOW. PLEASE. gimme, precious.....

Seeeee???? *references you for all future arguments beause you're obviously unbiased*

    *groans*

..... *hides* No? I'm...learning about it. Bella is teaching me and.... I'm learning about it? Sorry? *hides again*

*sighs* No, I'm not Catholic but right now it feels a LOT more...truthful and makes more sense than Protestantism so... I'm more Catholic than Protestant but I refuse to make a hasty decision about this because it's not just...adulting. It's much more important.

    ...if that makes snese? Sorry....

    1. *snorts with laughter* Oh same here, same here.

*looks vaguely pleased at being referenced for future arguments* I am so confused about which convo topic goes with which at this point...

      *grins cheekily*

Ohhh yes, that totally makes sense! So what denomination are you right now? And I'm so happy you're learning about it!! Isn't it wonderful?? *flails happily*

See, you're adulting fabulously! Mature decisions require a good deal of thought, discernment, and prayer, in my opinion, and you're doing just that!

I know Bella is already helping you with this, but if you would like my two cents or random-Catholic-advice/info/answers/whatever, you can always email me! :) I'd love to help or just talk about it with you, if you want! My email is: alittlebitbookish98@gmail.com

    2. 'References you in future arguments concerning the maturity of Doctor Who because you're DEFINITELY unbiased'.....

.....Baptist/non-denom/I'm not really ever sure we were raised Baptist but... I was never really part of a church.

...ha. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *groans* I don't LIKE it precious!!!! *cries*
