Well....as you can see, it is technically not Day Four. I apologize for not being consistent. I have issues with consistency...the blasted thing hates my guts and so I hate it right back. Consistency, I mean.
So let's pretend I didn't get kidnapped by pirates for a few days and everything is good and this is DAY FOUR.
*drum roll*
Day Four: Pick a character from the opposite team that you like. Talk about him and/or defend him.
HOW CAN I CHOOSE. I LOVE THEM ALL. UGHLKSGHSLKHG. STOP MAKING ME CHOOSE BETWEEN ALL MAH PEOPLES.
Fine. I shall talk about....
Peter Parker aka Spiderman
Now, let me clarify first that I have not seen any of the Spiderman movies. Not one. I am an ignorant little armadillo when it comes to Spiderman. But I LOVED him in Civil War!!
I love how Peter is only a kid. He's the only superhero is just a teenager and I find that adorable. I mean...LOOK AT THIS KID. HE LOOKS LIKE HE'S PRACTICALLY 14.
also, why are there no pics/gifs of this guy on the internets yet?? |
BUT HE MANAGED TO PIN THESE TWO DOWN ALL BY HIMSELF |
Then the inexperienced baby spider gets dragged out a window because he got distracted talking to people hehe.
So yeah, I really liked Spiderman (or as Tony called him, Spiderboy and Spiderling) in Civil War. He was so innocent and oblivious to the deeper meaning of this fighting, he was just trying to impress Mr. Stark who had taken Peter under his wing. I mean, who WOULDN'T want to impress Mr. Stark if he came to your house and offered to take you to Germany to help him in a fight?
I don't have any hard feelings about Spidey being on Iron Man's side. At all.
With all the grim older Avengers, it's nice to have someone who is new and young and so delightfully relatable to us teenagers.
He's just a normal kid, guys! A hilarious, brilliant, dorky kid. The kind of guy who I'd want for a best friend.
I love how Tony kind of takes him under his wing and how Cap ends up fighting with Spidey and Spidey is telling him all the things Tony said Cap would do and is basically telling Cap how Tony said to fight him. Then when Cap defeats him, he asks Spidey, "Where are you from?" "Queens," Spidey says. Cap smiles and replies, "Brooklyn."
So much cuteness. Have some quotes.
And then at the end....IF YOU STAY FOR THE VERY VERY END CREDITS...there is this awesome scene where Peter explains to his aunt how he got a black eye and stuff and afterwards, Marvel says "SPIDERMAN WILL RETURN" and everyone in the theater started screaming....
I can't wait. Anyway, those are my thoughts (COUGH ranting) on Spiderman.
What did you think of Spidey? Did you like him?
Oh, I loved Spidey too! Tobey Maguire was my favorite Spiderman ... he is the reason I even liked Spiderman! But Tom Holland definitely did a great job delivering the role!! I might even like him better than Tobey, though of coure I will always love that Spiderman and he'll always hold a special place in my heart. Tom Holland was everything Spiderman should be. He kept the gentle, nerdy side of Spidey that I love, just like Tobey did, but then he was also really smart and funny and .... I JUST LOVED HIM.
ReplyDeleteReally? Most people I've talked to liked Andrew Garfield and told me not to even bother with the Toney Maguire ones...O_o Awww yis Tom Holland was perfect though. He was everything I imagined Spiderman would be. :) SO MUCH LOVE.
DeleteOH MY GOSH ME TOO!!! I seriously love Spiderman, because I could relate to him soooo much, especially in this movie. Oh man, I swear, we would all be best friends.
ReplyDeleteDude YES. The bestest of friends. Even though spiders turn me into a cowering ball of whimpering mush. So I finally saw the Maguire film, and now I'm like "AW YIS NOW I UNDERSTAND ABOUT SPIDEY" because he is too precious, I tell you.
