I don't even know why I'm talking about Loki now....HE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CIVIL WAR.
Can you just imagine Loki in Civil War though?

Day Six: Fan
festivities! Post fanart, make a fan-video, wear fangirly clothes and post
pictures, do fan crafts. Do something fun!

This was actually a pretty quick drawing. I get lazy with charcoal and don't have to pay attention to as much detail as I normally would with color...for example the hair was just mad slap-dash scribbling. Which is why all my graphite drawings seem to have the same hair....*squints suspiciously*
Since I'm apparently talking about the drawing process now, the hardest, most frustrating part of it was the mouth.
UGH. I HATE DRAWING MOUTHS. THEY ARE SO HARD. And so important! If you get the mouth wrong, it will ruin the whole picture and the drawing won't look like the person at all. If you want to make a drawing look realistic, THEN MAKE THE MOUTH LOOK RIGHT.
As you can imagine, this is a very stressful thing for moi. I got very angry at Bucky while erasing and drawing and erasing again his mouth. As if it was his fault I couldn't draw his mouth.
But besides his mouth, he is actually pretty easy to draw. Some people are harder to draw than others, and Sebastian Stan is one of the easier ones.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go play Marvel soundtrack stuff on the piano.

ReplyDeleteI always feel sad that I am not excellent at are when I see fabulous drawings like yours, or the drawings my sisters produce. You caught Bucky's features so well!! And you did that quickly? with Charcoal?

DeleteSame. Here. Looking at other peoples' much better art makes me depressed and feel like a failure cause I MEAN THE STUFF ON DEVIANTART PUTS MY STUFF TO SHAME. Well, quickly for me haha. Usually I am lazy it takes weeks to draw something. This only took days. The majority is charcoal but the details are done in I think a 4B pencil...I can't remember what number it was. Charcoal smears so badly though, I really don't use it that much.
