Oh this is easy. I've had my team picked for months now.
BUT THEN I WATCHED THE MOVIE AND WAS PROMPTLY REDUCED TO THIS:

Yeah the movie changed all my opinions on the teams and stuff...Because now I agree with Tony AND Steve and they both are right and wrong and...UGH.
I hate decisions.
But BEFORE the movie (and sorta still now) I was and am...
TEAM CAP
Captain America is definitely one of my favorite Avengers. (Also Bucky is his best friend and sidekick and on his team so where Bucky goes, I go)
Reasons Why I Am Team Cap:
Cap stands for everything that is good and right and moral. Cap has always been the voice of reason and morals since the very beginning! He is the only Avenger that seems...I don't know how to put it....innocent. Cap is a truthful, good man and he doesn't let his power corrupt him or turn him into something he is not. That's something I've always loved about the Captain America movies.
In Civil War, Cap just wants to keep his best friend safe and refuses to let the government take control of him. He does what he knows is the right thing even it means becoming hunting by the law and his friends.
Cap is the best role model anyone could have. He isn't afraid to fight for what he believes in and he would do anything to protect his best friend.
Also I can relate to Cap. Cause I would start a civil war over Bucky, too.
That's why I love Cap.
Plus he has the best quotes.
And the best outfit. I mean seriously. Guys.

Things I Dislike About Captain Steve Rogers:
Nothing, nothing, and nothing.
Okay sometimes he can be a bit Dad-ish about things, but other than that, he is le perfect man, y'all. I want a Steve Rogers. Or a Bucky Barnes. Or both. I don't know.
But seriously though, asking me to choose my favorite Avenger is like asking me to choose my favorite child. I LOVE THEM ALLLL. It's just...Steve is that angelic firstborn child with the blond hair who is obedient and sweet and a good child unlike his angsty siblings who just want to blow stuff up.
SO STEVE. AND BUCKY.
Sorry. Thinking of Steve makes me think of Bucky. Actually not sorry at all.
You know what, scrap all of that. I want to be Team Bucky! But there isn't a Team Bucky and that makes me sad. Meh. WHO CARES. TEAM BUCKY.
So yes, if this post wasn't clear, I'm torn between Team Cap and Team Bucky. TORN, I TELL YOU.
Okay maybe more Team Bucky than Team Cap. It depends.

Well that was the first day of the blog party!! Now I must go save Gotham. (COUGHCOUGHCOUGH sorry wrong one) Now I must go save...something. Bucky. Yeah, I'll go save Bucky.

ReplyDeleteI firmly believe that most people sided with Cap because of Bucky. He wasn't too popular before the Winter Soldier came out. He had a fan-base, but it wasn't as big as the others. Most fans liked Hawkeye better than him, for goodness sakes!! Then, TWS happened and suddenly everyone was like "AAAAAAAH TEAM CAP, CAP IS SO AWESOME, CAP IS PRECIOUS, AND BUCKY!!!! BUCKY BARNES!!! AAAAAAAH I LOVE BUCKY!" And I was sitting on the sidelines like, "Hey! I was a Steve fan before it was cool - and I was a Bucky fan *waaaay* before it was cool! Steve & Bucky since "Hey. Pick on someone your own size!" Hmph. FALSE FANS YOU!!!" lol.
I thought I would end up more on Cap's side too. I agree with him about most things, and when the trailer first came out I was like... "Well, maybe I'll end up with Steve. I don't want them to fight. They both sound like they have good points. I DON'T KNOW." I was hardcore #teambros. And I still am. I think both needed to find a balance, and they both went to extremes. That being said, I appreciated that Tony was ready to back down and admit he had been wrong, and I liked that Tony didn't just become "NO WE MUST OBEY GOVERNMENT." It was more, "No, we must stay together, have rules, and not go to prison." SO... yeah. I don't know. I was torn.

SAME HERE. Lol I loved Steve before Bucky even became important in CATWS...and I loved BUCKY before CATWS, too! So yeah, I was a fan from the very beginning, too. ;) (But the fact that Bucky and Steve just got cuter and more precious as the movies went on is something completely out of my control and so I went from: "AHHH STEVE IS AWESOME. BUCKY IS THE BEST. THEY ARE ADORABLE." to "LAGHSLKGHLSKGH *strangled sobbing*")
DeleteI never really liked Tony all that much, so I'm really just biased. X) But Cap was always my favorite since my youngling fan days so. But then Civil War made me feel differently about Tony, and now I actually like him a lot better.
SO MUCH TORN. I DON'T WANT MAH BABIES FIGHTING. WHY CAN'T THERE JUST BE PEACE AND SCHAWARMA?
